Past, Present, Future

We are approaching the final weeks of 2025. This year was filled with monumental projects for Conde Nast, Wall Street Journal, NewsCorp, WebMD, and New England Journal of Medicine. As usual, it was all about media operations and data migrations. The work spanned 8 countries across North American, South America, UK, Europe and the Middle East.

As hard as it is to believe, it’s been pretty much non-stop since we started in 2004.

How is this possible?

Because the cascade of new technologies keeps on rolling – with increasing momentum. Being an expert has a shelf life of about 5 minutes, then you have check your assumptions at the door, relearn what you thought you knew, and keep pushing ahead.

This pace of change is what makes the operations piece of the media puzzle stimulating. And you are always at intersection of technology and human interaction.

The articles in this subject fall into the category of “arcane”. Meaning (according to Merriam Webster) “known or knowable only to a few people.” If you’re reading the content of this blog, I guess you’re one of the few.

Congratulations.
